The Medieval Bridge Trailer This is a short trailer of my recent visit to the medieval bridge at Stopham in West Sussex. This remarkable bridge is 600 years old, it has survived floods and Second World War tanks driving over it. It may not be the biggest bridge in the world, but in West Sussex it is most definitely the best loved one. It has beauty, charm and endurance. What more could you ask in a bridge? A video by Richard Vobes - 2007 What viewers have said! Richard, I've just had a chance to view the video, and all I can say is F**** MARVELLOUS!!!!!! Sorry, I know you can't broadcast that, so how about Gob-smacked!! Being a Sussex man, born and bred, this is of great interest to me and the way you presented the topic is absolutely great. A little history starting at the source in Littlehampton, then working your way back up-river to the bridge. There's everything in this video - it has history, location, personallity, and above all yourself. I'm not kidding when I say you should send these to the Beeb or Independent TV stations - they would be dumb not to pick up on you. Keep it up, and I only hope my audio docs can be a quarter as good as these are. GIVE ME MORE!!!!!! MY WALLET IS THIRSTY TO PAY FOR THEM!!! Cheers! Phil. P.S. I want more Sussex stories to fill in my knowledge of the home county! |
